Brave New World
1. How does the author depict London in the future?
The author depicts London in the future with many tall buildings with many floors each one. Also, he depicts the importance of the science and the advances in technology and of course he depicts how the scientists love their work and contribute for a “better and happier society”.
2. What kind of ideology is represented by the motto on the building?
The motto on the building is: Community, Identity, Stability. Where, I think community represents all the people that are working in the project and all the people who are “benefited” for the project. Identity represents the people who have characteristics and they belong to a specific group, for example the group of alphas, betas, deltas, gammas, epsilons. And stability represents the control that the project generates in society.
3. Is there such thing as Natural Selection? If you could decide who to reproduce/clone, who would you pick?
I think Natural Selection is presented during the book, because the essential theme of the book is the reproduction of the best human species and the division of groups of people from the strongest to the weakest.
If I could decide who to reproduce/clone, I would pick people who can resolve problems in whatever situation, I would pick people who want to help the society. I would pick intelligent people and healthy people without vices who can improve the human race.
